I want everything.

I want everything

I’m so sorry I have been completely MIA for the past few weeks – with traveling for two weeks, moving out of my apartment, and getting settled in to my temporary home, it’s been more than stressful.  I’ve also been working on some really fun new projects that I can’t wait to share with you over the next few weeks!

In the mean time, I feel like I want to splurge on every outfit post I’ve seen this week.  Maybe I think they’re the cutest things ever because I’m writing this on the first day post-shopping fast or maybe they truly are the cutest things ever – either way, if each outfit could appear in my closet I promise to love them forever.

Below are a few of my go-to blogs for outfit inspiration that do a great job mixing brand name with budget-friendly pieces.  Also sidenote, those lace-up espadrilles are a DIY version of the Aquazzura flats we’ve seen everywhere this season!

Have a fabulous holiday weekend!

TOP // SKIRT {DVF, similar here and here} // WEDGES // PURSE {old, similar here and here}

You guys, I’m feeling crazy and I’m wearing a crop top.  Yes, I’m taking the plunge, but Taylor Swift and I are still not ready to commit to the full-fledged belly button exposure.  Pairing it with a skirt shows a hint of skin, but still covers enough that it feels appropriate, ya feel me? After last week’s post about Zara’s spring look book this fun print and ruffle detailing was too adorable to pass up.

working girl // desk to dinner

 As I shop for spring, I’m aiming to make more intentional purchases, making sure a piece works for the office and every day.  This weekend I found a fun textured skirt and layering my go-to black cardigan over it is great for work and easily transitions to the fun night ahead.  If I’m out of the office before the sunsets, it’s straight to happy hour or dinner with friends – just a quick change of shoes, a pop of pattern, and I’m out the door. It’s {finally} my favorite time of year in Chicago and the rooftops are calling my name!

Chambray four ways

I find myself reaching for my favorite chambray shirt all the time.  You know in magazines when they have the feature “I just love my…” with a picture of someone wearing the same thing over and over – I would definitely be caught in this.  From throwing it on with jeans and a t-shirt to dressing it up for work, it has as many personalities as me {ha}!
