Nordstrom half-yearly

Nordstrom half yearly
Today is the first full day of the Nordstrom half-yearly sale with savings of up to 40% off of some of our favorites. Here are the details on my wishes, wants, and needs…
 //
*These Steve Madden heels are the perfect staple for everything from a summer wedding to a casual night out with jeans and a t-shirt
*How adorable is this two piece set by Whitney Eve? With both pieces 40% off, the outfit is barely over $100!
*I mentioned this Joie dress last week in my wedding wardrobe post and it’s now 40% off! This and this are also great wedding season dresses!
*Julia styled this jacket to perfection – a great transition piece from work to play
*I know it’s still a splurge, but I’ve been eyeing this Alexander Wang bag for over a year!
*And anything and everything Zella, Nordstrom’s line of athletic wear, is on my list – especially these fun leggings
What’s on your list?

TOP // SKIRT {DVF, similar here and here} // WEDGES // PURSE {old, similar here and here}

You guys, I’m feeling crazy and I’m wearing a crop top.  Yes, I’m taking the plunge, but Taylor Swift and I are still not ready to commit to the full-fledged belly button exposure.  Pairing it with a skirt shows a hint of skin, but still covers enough that it feels appropriate, ya feel me? After last week’s post about Zara’s spring look book this fun print and ruffle detailing was too adorable to pass up.

Guidance from our guru // Anna

Meet Anna.

This guru is the perfect example of Lily Pulitzer’s quote “style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you live.”  Her positive attitude is contagious, she’s always wearing a smile and let’s be honest, her fabulous wardrobe doesn’t hurt either.

Random Things on Thursday

R.T.O.T

Happy Thursday! It’s been a quick but hectic week and boy is it really testing my sanity and patience;  I was super late to my best friend’s surprise engagement dinner and I rescheduled my 5th missed haircut appointment due to tight deadlines at the office. Can a girl catch a break here? If not, I would just settle for a haircut! Or a pair of scissors and I’ll take things into my own hands…None the less, an extra busy week leaves us with some random tid bits for today.

How often should we really be washing our clothes? // Mind blown. Don’t wash your denim for three months after purchasing? Is that sanitary?

Skin identity test // Earlier this week Julia shared her love for Skin Inc. serums and masks.  She took their skin identity test and they sent her products specific to her skin needs based on the results.  Being the product junkie that I am, I started to investigate and I’m intrigued. I mean I’m all about testing new products, but narrowing it down to something specific for my skin seems like a win-win? I feel obligated to try it… :)

How adorable is this phone case? I went from happily living the case-less life to a full convert in no time.

Quinoa enchilada casserole // I’m not a big fan of casseroles but I am the biggest fan of anything Mexican food related, so this recipe is happening this weekend.

101 things in 1001 days – completed: 1 of 5 “for no reason” gifts to a friend – sent this packed party to one of my best friends back home //Booked a girls  trip to the Hamptons this summer // Started the 5 minute journal // FINALLY purchased this day planner {old school, i know} // Unsubscribe to 31, yes 31, email blasts // Gave away 25 of the 100 items challenge
